Cape Coaches Get Drafted, Too

Battle Creek EnquirerPlayers in the Cape Cod Baseball League are scouted and drafted all season, and occasionally we read about Cape coaches moving on as well. We wrote earlier this year about Cotuit manager Mike Roberts being under consideration for a couple of coaching jobs.

I recently stumbled across an article in a Michigan newspaper about former Hyannis Mets coach Brian Murphy who is now head coach for the Battle Creek Bombers of the Northwoods League, also considered a top summer league.

With the growth of summer leagues around the country, it makes me wonder if the Cape will become an exclamation point on a coach's resume to lead teams in other summer leagues.
