Sparks Fly in the Texas Collegiate Baseball League

by Greg in

I enjoy following some of the ins and outs of the other summer collegiate baseball leagues.  News articles and blog posts always point out that these "other" summer leagues don't live up to the Cape League standard (they are right about that), but they go on to talk about issues like expansion and how they may one day compete for talent with the Cape. I thought the San Antonio baseball blog had some interesting points and comments about the growth and interest in summer collegiate baseball.  I thought the lawsuit between the league and 7 teams was interesting.  I also thought the $300,000 price tag for a franchise was interesting.
