The National Classic Baseball Tournament, one of the most noted on the high school calendar, decided to shift from aluminum to wood this year after a pitcher was hit in the head by a batted ball. Pitcher Gunnar Sandberg was in a medically-induced coma after being taken to the hospital, according to Baseball America. Sandberg is reported to be improving.
